part-time musician...Full-Time Calling

PROFITABLE MUSICIAN WEEKLY NEWSLETTER

Hey there, Profitable Musician!

Music can be a calling without being a career. Part-time doesn't mean less committed.

Music can produce full-time-career energy in your heart and mind without taking up full-time space on your calendar.

Just because you don't devote 24/7 to music doesn't mean you're any less serious.

Why am I making this distinction?

Because I believe there’s a misconception about my program and community, Female Musician Accelerator, that I want to clear up.

FMA is NOT only for full time musicians or women who are trying to build a career around touring.

In fact, it’s built especially for the woman who feels like music is in her bones, but also has a full life she doesn’t want to abandon in order to pursue it.

When I look at the women inside FMA, the ones making their entire living from music are actually the outliers.

A lot of our members have part-time jobs or are still raising kids. Some have reached retirement or the empty nest years and finally have more time to give to music after spending decades putting other things first.

And even in this new season, she may be helping aging parents or wanting plenty of time with a partner, kids and grandchildren.

She isn't trying to spend every waking hour building a music career, but her music isn’t “just a hobby” either.

She wants to release the songs she's worked hard on and find the people who will connect with them.

Authenticity and ease are her love language which means learning how to promote her music in a way that feels more like a conversation than an elaborate and exhausting marketing plan where she has to hock her wares constantly.

She wants to look back a year from now and know she actually DID something with this creative calling that has been tugging at her for years.

That’s exactly the woman I had in mind when I built FMA.

You don’t have to become a full time musician to take your music seriously. In fact, with less time to devote to music, it forces you to be crystal clear about what will actually move the needle.

And that's MY love language inside of FMA.

So if you've been hearing about Female Musician Accelerator - cause I've been talking about it A LOT lately since we just made some huge upgrades that I'm super excited about - including the relaunch of our popular FMA Songwriters Group - and you thought it was only for full-time career-bound ladies...

I actually built it for you.

Always in your corner,
<3 Bree

PROFITABLE MUSICIAN: FEM FRIDAY EDITION August 14, 2026 Happy FEM Music Friday! Spend five minutes with a toddler and you will probably hear the word “why” enough times to question your own sanity. Why do I have to put my shoes on? Why are we leaving now? Why can’t I bring six stuffed animals? Toddlers ask because they are trying to make sense of a world that is still new to them. The questions are often smart and completely reasonable. They can also make getting out the door take 45 minutes....

PROFITABLE MUSICIAN WEEKLY NEWSLETTER August 12, 2026 Hey there, Profitable Musician! Last night I pulled up an old Spotify playlist I hadn’t listened to in a long time. It was one of those playlists I’d made specifically because the songs put me in a really good mood. But over time, I’d found new music, made new playlists, and basically forgotten what was in there. Within a few songs I was thinking, “How did I forget how much I LOVE this song?” There was so much gold in there. Songs I hadn’t...

PROFITABLE MUSICIAN: FEM FRIDAY EDITION August 7, 2026 Happy FEM Music Friday! Over the past 11 years, musicians have come to me for help getting more done in less time. Usually, they are not looking for a way to cram even more work into an already full week. They want to spend more time writing, rehearsing, recording, or connecting with fans without email, bookkeeping, social media, and a dozen other admin tasks taking over every available hour. I have taught plenty of planning systems,...
