When I talk about “better gigs,” I mean better for YOU.
That could be a daytime concert that fits your family schedule, or a festival that introduces your music to a whole new audience. Combining a performance with speaking could give you a chance to use more of your talents. Even your love of art or history could become the reason someone books you for something you’re actually excited about.
Repeat bookings are wonderful, but when you’re playing for the same people every month and nobody new is joining your email list, it’s understandable to want more. You can appreciate those gigs and still be ready for a step up.
That’s where your booking system comes in.
Good research helps you find opportunities beyond your usual venues, with audiences who would connect with what you offer.
Your EPK then needs to help an organizer picture you at THEIR event. A performance clip that shows how you weave storytelling into your concerts can make a stronger case than a bio that simply calls you a singer songwriter.
And when that organizer says, “We’d love to consider you for next year,” consistent follow up keeps you in the conversation. You’ll know when to contact them again instead of remembering after their lineup is full.
That’s what we’re putting together during next week’s Get It Done Week inside Female Musician Accelerator: a booking system that helps you pursue the kinds of gigs you want to do next.
It’s included in your FMA membership, so you can participate for as little as $49 by joining FMA here.
The Get-It-Done-Week sessions are live next week, Sept 14 - 18 on Mon/Wed/Fri at noon ET/9 AM PT. If you can't make it live, you'll get all replays and materials as soon as the sessions end.
Let’s elevate your gig calendar!
Always in your corner,
<3 Bree
