Hey there, Profitable Musician!

If you’ve got a Linktree set up...honestly, good for you.

You’re ahead of so many musicians who still don’t have a central place for people to find their music, mailing list, shows, or offers. You took a step. That’s something to be proud of.

But here’s the deal…

It's like leading potential fans, venues or students into a dark hallway with 10 different doors and no clear signage.

It gives people options, sure. But it doesn’t guide them.

It doesn't tell a story.

And it definitely doesn’t help them understand why they should keep clicking or following.

I’m not knocking Linktree - I’ve used it for years myself. But now, I'm replacing it (or at least amplifying it) with...

🛠️9 Grid Workshop & Template For Musicians

🎧Music Marketing Tools To Unlock Success

📱 Why I’m Moving to a 9-Grid

I’m currently rebuilding my own Instagram with a 9-grid strategy. Why?

Because I realized how much potential attention I was leaving on the table by sending people to a generic list of links with no context or flow.

Let’s be honest, most visitors will only give you a few seconds of their time. And if they land on a page that doesn’t grab them immediately or show them why they should stick around?

They’re gone.

A well-designed 9-grid gives you that context. It’s like a visual, scrollable welcome tour that:

  • Tells your story
  • Highlights your most important offers
  • Builds trust
  • And actually gets people to take action—whether that’s joining your list, streaming your music, buying merch, or booking a lesson.

You don’t need to toss Linktree, just upgrade the experience.

I want to be clear: Linktree isn’t bad. It’s just not optimized.

It’s a starting point. But what if, instead of just showing people a bunch of clickable doors, you could walk them through the one you want them to take?

That’s the power of a 9-grid. You’re not guessing what they’ll click. You’re designing a journey that hooks them in, bit by bit, square by square.

It’s like turning your Instagram into a homepage, press kit, and sales page, all without needing a separate website or the constant pressure to post every day.

✨ Use the Attention You’ve Already Earned

People are already clicking your link in bio. You’ve earned that click.

Now the question is: What are you doing with it?

If your answer is “sending them to a list and hoping they figure it out”… you’re not alone. That was me, too. But we can do better. And the good news is, it doesn’t have to be complicated.

That’s why I created the 9-Grid Workshop—to help musicians like you set up a grid that feels authentic, intentional, and actually works to grow your fanbase or income (or both).

If you want your Instagram to not just look good, but work hard for you behind the scenes, grab the 9-Grid Workshop now.

This was our most recent workshop inside the Female Musician Accelerator and because it was so popular, I decided to offer it as a stand-alone workshop for a limited time.

This workshop walks you through creating your 9 grid, step by step, no fluff, no pressure to become a full-time influencer. Just smart strategy that works for musicians.

And when you grab the workshop, you'll get a special bonus: a complete set of plug-n-play 9-Grid Canva Templates so you can create a stunning 9 Grid in minutes (no design experience needed).

Plus you'll get pre-written caption prompts for each of the 9 squares.

Always in your corner,
<3 Bree

ON THE PODCAST

On the podcast, I chat with Benji Stein, creator of Playlist Supply and Booking Agent IO, who talks about some of the music marketing tools indie artists can use to gain better listener exposure.

We dive into the process of playlist promotion, the right way to secure gigs, and why DIY strategies can put musicians in control of their careers.

Benji also shares how artists can connect with playlist curators, track playlist performances, and land bookings without relying on middlemen.

PROFITABLE MUSICIAN: FEM FRIDAY EDITION June 27, 2025 Happy FEM Friday! Have you ever had one of those weeks where you looked at your to-do list and just felt your shoulders slump before you even started? Where your passion projects kept getting pushed down the list because you were too busy doing everything else "needed" to keep your music career running"? I know that feeling far too well. I remember this one season where I was doing all the things. Booking gigs. Designing graphics. Managing...

PROFITABLE MUSICIAN WEEKLY NEWSLETTER June 25, 2025 Hey there, Profitable Musician! One of the biggest myths I see floating around the indie music world is this idea that you need a manager to be legit. Or that once you find the right manager, everything in your career will finally click. But here's the truth: having a manager too early can actually slow you down. And not being ready when the right one comes along? That’s a missed opportunity. In my recent podcast interview with Janice Shen...

PROFITABLE MUSICIAN: FEM FRIDAY EDITION June 20, 2025 Happy FEM Friday! Can we talk about something that doesn’t get nearly enough airtime? That creeping feeling that maybe you’re not cut out for this. That voice that whispers, “Who do you think you are?” when you go to post something about your music or share a new video. The pit in your stomach when you see someone else doing what you want to do, only better, faster, with shinier graphics and more followers. If any of that sounds familiar,...
