Happy FEM Friday!

If you’ve been feeling heavier after every social media scroll, you’re not imagining it. For many women, social media can become less of a stage and more of a minefield. You want to show up, be seen, build your presence—but lately, it’s costing you too much.

Let’s name some things that might be happening to break the stigma:

  • You’re opening Instagram and feeling like you’re already behind. Everyone’s releasing, performing, posting. You’re still figuring out how to finish a single song without feeling like a fraud.
  • You start comparing your voice, your body, your setup, your lighting. Suddenly that brave DIY music video feels embarrassing, and you delete the draft you almost posted.
  • You’re working on something beautiful, but it’s not “post-ready” yet. So you keep tweaking instead of sharing. You lose momentum. The anxiety builds.
  • You know you need consistency, but algorithms feel like another job. You’re tired. But you don’t want to look like you’ve given up.
  • You’re overwhelmed with “shoulds.” I should be posting more. I should learn Reels. I should be more visible. But all those shoulds pile into shame.

This is social media burnout.

It’s not laziness. It’s a mental health signal. And as women raised to push through, we often ignore it until it costs us our creativity, confidence, or even our health.

But what if you could step away without losing visibility?

What if you could step away from social media without losing visibility?

That’s why, in times of social media burnout, I'm a big fan of the 9-Grid Strategy.

It’s a static Instagram layout designed to give you space to rest and regroup, while still telling the story of your artistry. It works like a personal website right inside Instagram—so new followers, fans, and collaborators still see your best self, even when you're offline.

Protect your personal peace and state of mind.

Let your 9-grid hold the door open while you catch your breath.

Join us inside the Female Musician Academy for this month’s 9-Grid Workshop and create a social media strategy that supports your mental health and your music goals.

Join the Academy TODAY for as little as $17 per month and get access to our exclusive BONUS plug-and-play 9-Grid Template.

The live workshop is today at noon ET. You will also get access to the replay and the replays of all of our other monthly workshops (see calendar below).

Always in your corner,
<3 Bree

ON THE PODCAST

Stepping onto a stage can be thrilling or terrifying, depending on your level of confidence. If speaking on stage makes your heart race, there are ways to muster up enough courage to face your audience.

In this episode, Bree Noble talks with Linda Ugelow, a speaking confidence and vocal coach, about breaking past fear and owning your voice. Linda shares how she conquered stage anxiety, built a powerful presence, and now helps others do the same.

From shifting mindset blocks to using practical vocal techniques, this conversation is packed with insights to help you speak with confidence—whether you’re on stage, live streaming, or speaking up in meetings.

Shara Strand - Anthem

SHARA STRAND:

Shara is a passionate musician whose name fittingly means "Of Song." From an early age, she felt a calling to connect with others through music. After early success in theater and film, and earning her BFA from NYU Tisch, Shara shifted her focus to music, achieving Billboard chart success and performing across the U.S., including prestigious venues like Lincoln Center and opening for Pat Benatar.

Beyond music, Shara is a successful entrepreneur, founding Shara Makeup Studio and launching Shara Skin and Shara Cosmetics. She is also a proud mother of two, Alexa and Ashton.

In 2023, Shara’s father—her biggest supporter—passed away from cancer. Their final months were filled with music and connection, deepening her commitment to sharing her art in his honor. Shara continues to create and inspire, guided by love, purpose, and her belief in the power of music.
