Create Your QR Code in 30 Seconds
5 Ways For Musicians To Use QR Codes
Playlist-Worthy Music
QR Codes make it stupid simple to connect your fans with your offers.
Have you ever created a QR Code to promote your music?
If you have, you know how easy it is to do and how effective it is.
If you haven't, I'm guessing it's because you don't know how and you think it's going to be hard.
I want to make it super easy for you to create your first one right now.
My go-to QR code creator is Bitly.com because I already have an account with them. But in the past I've also used QRCreator.com, MyQRcode.com, etc.
Google "create QR Code" and see what comes up. They are all free, but usually require you to create an account using your email to retrieve your QR code.
Here's one I just created that takes you to our friends at Bandzoogle
Creating a QR code takes 30 seconds. Seriously! I just created this one on the right.
Navigate to the QR code generator of your choice
Insert the link you want the code to send people to.
Make any customizations (some programs let you pick color, design, etc.
Hit "Generate!".
Voila! You now have something you can put on signs, flyers and printed materials IRL to send fans to your online platforms.
Some ideas for using QR codes:
Send people to your Spotify to check out a new release or a special playlist.
Send people to your website to buy merch after a show (in case they don't have money with them, want to buy more later, or you run out of stock).
Send people to your services page to pay for lessons, custom songs or private events.
The use cases are endless!
Now I KNOW you've got 30 seconds right now. So Take Action and create your first or next QR code pronto!

PROFITABLE MUSICIAN: FEM FRIDAY EDITION July 24, 2026 Happy FEM Music Friday! The first time I truly broke out of an autopilot doom loop, I didn’t plan it at all. I landed in the hospital for 11 days. The health challenge itself was, of course, very unwelcome! But being removed from my regular life for that long wasn’t entirely unwelcome... I know being a female musician in 2026 can sometimes feel manic... Your first single crushes and then...the sophomore slump. Bookings that used to come easy feel harder than getting a 4 year old to eat their green beans (I once had an epic battle with my oldest daughter over green beans at dinner that lasted 2 hours and ended in a stalemate!) I'm not gonna lie, the music market is more saturated than ever and the opportunities in the traditional music industry are shrinking daily. But you...
PROFITABLE MUSICIAN: FEM FRIDAY EDITION July 17, 2026 Happy FEM Music Friday! Sometimes the music world feels like one enormous pond. You live in Nashville, Los Angeles, New York, or Chicago, where there seems to be another talented musician on every block. You make music in a crowded genre like country, pop, folk, Christian, or singer songwriter. You’re approaching the same venues, pitching the same playlists, and trying to reach the same listeners as thousands of other artists. Some of them...
