PROFITABLE MUSICIAN:

FEM FRIDAY EDITION

October 23, 2026

Happy FEM Music Friday!

When my friend Tiamo was performing in San Diego, it felt like hundreds of musicians were all competing for the same four or five decent stages.

The venues had all the leverage. There was always another musician who wanted the gig, and was willing to do it for little pay.

And even when you landed a show, there was still the work of getting people through the door. Another round of post, emails and begging friends to come out.

Then Tiamo found a market where the organizer had already gathered the audience.

Conferences.

A keynote concert combines live music with speaking to create an experience for that audience. Your songs and stories become part of the reason they're there.

I personally found the same experience with churches, women's groups, nonprofits and community events.

Picture preparing your performance without also having to sell every seat. You could put that energy into creating a program people connect with.

You still need to approach the right organizers and deliver a good program. Your outreach is focused on events that fit your music and message, instead of joining the queue for those few venues in your local area.

If you haven't watched Tiamo's free video series yet, it's a good introduction.

Watch the free Keynote Concert video series here.

Then bring your questions to our free live Keynote Concerts Q&A this Sunday. Tiamo will be with me live to answer your situation-specific questions about whether keynote concerts would be the right path for you.

Would your style of music work? Are there opportunities near you, whether you're in the U.S. or another part of the world? Do you have anything compelling to say? What if you don't play an instrument? Can you do cover songs? Full band or solo? And anything else that might be holding you back.

This is your one opportunity to speak with Tiamo directly about your own situation. The Q&A is the main part of our time together.

Sunday, October 25
1:00 to 2:30 PM Pacific / 4:00 to 5:30 PM Eastern

Add Sunday's Keynote Concerts Q&A to your calendar.

Here's your Zoom link for Sunday's live Q&A here. (if you've clicked on any links this week about Tiamo, I'll send you an email on Sunday to remind you)

No registration is required. Put it on your calendar now and come ask what you need to know to decide if Keynote Concerts make sense for you. I know for me, they were a huge catalyst and turning point in my music career.

Always in your corner,
<3 Bree

PROFITABLE MUSICIAN WEEKLY NEWSLETTER October 21, 2026 Hey there, Profitable Musician! I still remember stepping onstage for my first keynote concert. Finally, I was the event. It gave my stories and songs a place to work together. People had come to hear what I had to share. Pairing my stories with my songs gave them a reason to connect with the music. There were tears. People sang along. They signed up for my email list because the experience had meant something to them. Afterward, people...
